From the Director's View

What can I say except I had the best crew ever! After the shoot was done, I was talking with some of the other groups. It seemed as though the majority of horror stories came from the crew. I heard about people who only had three people helping them at random times over the weekend. We had 17 or 18 people with us, pretty much the entire weekend.

I heard about one group that had a writer do a seven page script, then their director left and a new one was brought in. He refused to direct someone else's script so he wrote an eleven page opus. The rest of the group rebeled and so that director left. They brought in someone with very little experience (that was my whole secret method). I am so glad we didn't have to deal with that kind of drama.

I was so happy to be able to say to the other groups, my crew was awesome! This was the first time that I have ever directed anything with grown-ups. For my other productions, my cast and crew were 10 to 13 years old. This was much better. It was so cool to be able to ask somebody to do something ONE TIME and it got done.

I can't wait to do this again. I hope that all of the cast and crew had as good of a time as I did. I owe everyone big time!
